Erie, PA (June 22, 2018) | Splash Lagoon Indoor Water Park Resort was once again named a top indoor water park by USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards!

Thousands voted in the online contest to rank Splash Lagoon #4 among the country’s Top 10 Indoor Water Parks. Splash Lagoon climbed to the fourth spot from a nomination field of 20 waterparks. The 20 initial nominees were chosen by a panel of industry experts, which included review by editors from USA Today and professionals within the water park industry. Fans of Splash Lagoon then participated in a month-long voting campaign on the USA Today’s 10Best website.

Splash Lagoon had previously been named a Top 10 Indoor Waterpark by USA Today in 2015 and 2017.  The 80,000 square-foot water park is home to twelve water slides and one of the largest indoor wave pools in the Eastern United States. Three hotels connect to the water park - Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Residence Inn, and Comfort Inn & Suites - as well as Hooch & Blotto’s Sports Bar and Grill.

“We are proud to once again be recognized as one of the best indoor water parks in the country,” said Nick Scott Sr., President of Scott Enterprises, which owns & operates Splash Lagoon. “This distinction is important not only for Splash Lagoon, but for the entire Erie area, as we continue to spotlight Erie to the nation and spur year-round tourism in the region.”

“This award showcases the number of people who have shared great memories with us at Splash Lagoon. We’d like to thank everyone who showed their support by voting for Splash Lagoon – we are excited to receive this honor and recognition” said Scott.
